Bail Bonds FAQ

Why should I use a bail bondsman?

A bondsman will help get the bond posted at a rate less than posting the full amount. A bondsman monitors the arrested person, helps logistically with doing bonds from out of state or long-distance, and helps if you don’t have all of the cash to post the bond alone.

When can I post a bond?

A bail bond may be posted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year. We work them all!

If I co-sign for someone, what am I getting myself into?

You are guaranteeing that the defendant will appear in court. You must make sure he/she attends all appearances and follows the instructions of the court. Should he/she fail to appear in court, you will be responsible to assist the bondsman in locating them. If the bond is at risk of forfeiture. The consigned will be responsible for bearing the financial loss of the total bond amount.

How can I pay you?

Cash, credit cards, money orders, and bank checks. We accept third party checks from the US government.

How much does it cost?

The bail bond company posts the bond with the court for the whole amount of the bond. We USUALLY charge 10%, which is a standard fee. There is a minimum charge for smaller bonds because it just isn’t economically feasible to write a $350 bond for $35, or $50 for a $500 bond. We will be happy to discuss those fees with you at any time! No more money is due after the initial fees unless the defendant doesn’t meet their responsibilities in showing up for court.
